Development of Open-architecture Binder Jetting System for Flexible Additive Manufacturing for Novel Materials and Structures

Binder jetting is a cost-effective additive manufacturing that can work with a wide spectrum of conventional materials and structures. However, the current commercial binder jetting systems encrypted and the users only have limited flexibility in parameter selections. This has significantly constrained the potential of the binder jetting technology. In this project, a team of researcher will design and prototype an open-architecture binder jetting system that allows full control of all processing conditions.
