Themes

Themes are groups of faculty members coalescing around a research idea. There may be one or more project teams working together within a theme, each contributing a unique perspective to gather information, identify a need, or solve a problem. Themes reflect the project titles and descriptions submitted in the START application.

A theme can secure START grants for multiple projects. Each START grant will be displayed on the theme’s page and represented by a green START button on the theme’s thumbnail image below.
