This project will develop a new family of composite organic electrodes for electrochemical energy storage. Specifically, interfacial polymerization will be used for the first time to coat porous carbon substrates with redox-active organic films into which sodium and potassium ions can intercalate.
Funding: $45K (2022)
Goal: Determine the technical feasibility of creating electrodes for use in sodium or potassium batteries/capacitors using interfacial polymerization.
Token Investors: David Dwabi, Nicholas Kotov, Joerg Lahann
